EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The applicant was discharged for unsuitability due to diagnosis of an adjustment disorder in the Spring of 2010.
The applicant was screened for underlying mental health issues due to a depressive mood, lack of motivation
and inability to cope with sea or shore duty.
The applicant was diagnosed with an adjustment disorder with depressed mood by three separate physicians.
They all concurred that the applicant was not suitable for continued service. At the time of each diagnosis, the
applicant repeatedly stated to be Discharged rather than return to the assigned unit. When the applicant was
